Golf Lessons Kent | Dave Tottman Golf

Firstly, please let me introduce myself. My name is Dave Tottman and I am a Qualified PGA Professional based at West Malling Golf Club in Kent.  This top facility is the perfect setting to have Golf Lessons, Kent.  We also are home to 36 holes of golf, the best Ladies Golf Store in the County and the Largest Custom Fit Facility.  Our 10 Bay covered Driving Range and teaching and fitting studio are a welcome addition in 2013 and enhance the experience.

'The Perfect Setting to

have Golf Lessons, Kent'

I am a PGA Professional Coach, giving golf lessons in Kent to players of all ages and abilities, proving popular with my pupils, due to my friendly persona and knowledge about the golf swing. From starting out coaching juniors, I have progressed on to giving lessons to adults of all abilities, from the Professional Ranks, to the single figure handicapped golfer, to the complete beginner. I have been praised for being approachable and it appears that pupils relax, during their lessons with me. I pride myself in being very clear and concise. I have a personal interest in seeing my pupils improve, and help them achieve the goals they have set.  My philosophy about teaching is always ball flight orientated.  Some other professionals have reputations of 'breaking down your golf swing and starting again'.  I have no interest in pursuing that line of coaching.  As long as you are happy with improving your ball flight, then I'm happy!   My Lessons have to the option of an Ebook Package which allows you to view your lesson history from the comfort of your own home.  Log In details help keep your information private and confidential.

'Teaching is Ball Flight Orientated...

I Will Never Break Down

Your Swing and Start Again'

I am also a custom fitter, helping customers find golf clubs that can help their performance on the course. Having 2 years experience and my extensive knowledge of club and shaft combinations, are proven to enhance players’ games. Custom fitting is not just for the ‘elite player’, I have shown that all golfers can improve there consistency with equipment that is built for them.  My service also offers a free golf lesson as an after service which has been popular with golfers across Kent.

'All Golfers Can Improve

Their Consistency With Equipment

Built For Them'

After becoming a qualified PGA Professional in July 2012, I undertook an Advanced Certificate in Golf Coaching with the University of Birmingham.  I feel it is extending my knowledge further and is opening up more doors than the compulsary Foundation Degree in association with the PGA.

The Long Putter - Anchoring - Ban from 2016

Today I believe is a sad day.  Not for all but most definately for me.  It has been announced by the USGA and The R&A - the two governing bodies for the world of golf have put into place a ruling that will ban the use of putters being anchored to the body.  So why is the case, why from 2016 can we not use the long putter in the way it was designed.  Let's take a look ...

“I know I haven't had many lessons yet, but I must say that compared with other lessons I have had over the years, you have been the best at explaining what I need to do to improve. The instructions are clear and the use of video to illustrate what is required I have found invaluable. My ball striking is much improved and my playing partners have noticed the difference already. I hope my handicap will soon reflect the changes I have made as well!

Dave Tottman is based at West Malling Golf Club and is really good. He's teaching some of my staff who are complete beginners and he fixed a massive fault in my swing last year which has taken about 3 shots off the average round for me. And he's great value for money!

Malcolm Palmer - Member at the London Golf Club

You say thing’s in a way that is easy for people like me to understand, it all makes sense

Bob Ashem, HCP 6, The London Club.

Not lost a ball in 6 rounds and only 3 blobs in last three rounds!!!

Dave Hindmarsh, Bought clubs and has lessons with myself

This is the man to see for irons, he picked a shaft which I would never have chosen myself, but it is absolutely perfect
